Certificates

 

      For the request and issue of a certificate, the applicant should bring with him/her the following (documents):   

  • The name of the registered person and 
  • The date of birth, marriage or death 
  • Indicate if possible which book, page and number of the registration (in order to speed-up the request).

      The request for a certificate is made directly at the Public Notary, where the registration was made. This way, the search indications, are limited to the Cartório Azevêdo Bastos.

      If necessary, the registration search will be charged by the Public Notary Service and if the certificate is found, the search won't be charged according to the Law of the Emoluments of the State of Paraíba.

      To request for a certificate, the applicant should: 

  • Personally attend the Public Notary Office, so that if he/she is registered at our Public Notary Office and appearing in our data-base, the certificate can be issued immediately or at least within 48 hours.
  • For sending it via postal services, the person should send an e-mail or fax with the data for the certificate and include a payment voucher of deposit  to Banco do Brasil, Agência 1636-5, Conta 14858-X (Cartório Azevêdo Bastos - CNPJ 09356.221/0001-71); 
  • For sending it via postal services the person should send a LETTER to this Public Notary Office, containing data of the registration or search period, together with CHEQUE-CORREIOS or NOMINAL (crossed out in its front part with two diagonal lines in Portuguese language called “cheque cruzadoâ€) to the name of CARTÓRO AZEVÊDO BASTOS.
