Emancipation
The emancipation is the acquisition of full civil capacity to a citizen prior to be of legal age, enabling all acts of civil life, ceasing the under-age status of completing 18 years of age. The emancipation will be registered at the registry of the 1st. Notary Public Office of each district enabling the emancipation sentence including the parents' consent in relation to the minor domiciled in that district. The registration will be made through transcript of the sentence by judicial order or by the public register, making references of the date, book, pages and office in which it was done without depending on the presence of witnesses in any of the cases, but with the signature of the petitioner. After registration of the emancipation, the birth registry will be notified of the annotation according to article 106 Law 6015/73. |
