Registration of Sentence

 

     This is the act in which a judicial sentence is being registered.

     In the State of Paraíba all sentences are registered in Book "E".

     The sentences that decree judicial separation and/or divorce within several judicial districts should be done where the marriage was registered, without prejudice to the requesting parties as described in articles 100 and 167, incise II, 14, of the same Law 6.015/73.

     This way, both registrations (marriage & judicial separation/divorce) are done at the 1st Civil Registration of the District where the sentence was declared. In the Judicial District of João Pessoa the competent Public Notary Office for such registration is the Public Notary “Cartório Azevêdo Bastosâ€�.
