Transcription of Birth

 

     Necessary documents for the Transcript: 
Birth Certificate of Foreign Country origin

         1. Original birth certificate of the country of origin legalized by the Consulate of  Brazil or Embassy.

2. Translation of the certificate by public and sworn-in Translator in Brazil and register the birth certificate at the Public Notary “Titles and Documents Registryâ€

         3. ORIGINAL birth certificate of one of the Brazilian genitors or AUTHENTICATED COPY.

         4. Proof of residence in the capital city by the child's father or mother (legal proofs are: energy-, telephone-, gas-bills) ORIGINAL or  CERTIFIED COPIES, or a qualified declaration of residence, duly signed with authenticated signature (Federal Law no. 7115 of 29/08/1983)

         5. Request to write the transcript under the terms of Article 32 of the Law 6015/73 with authenticated signature.

         6. The petitioner should always bring his/her original ID 

Birth Certificate from the Consulate or Embassy of Brazil 

         1. Original birth certificate sent by the Consulate or Embassy of Brazil;

         2. Proof of residence in the capital city by the child's father or mother (legal proofs are: energy-, telephone-, gas-bills) ORIGINAL or  CERTIFIED COPIES, or a qualified declaration of residence, duly signed and then with authenticated signature (Federal Law no. 7115 of 29/08/1983)

         3. The petitioner should always bring his/her original ID

Attention: In the child father’s or mother’s absence; the child can be represented by proxy, but the data should be accordingly updated. 
      Observation: If the proxy originates from a private person, the persons signature should be authenticated (Art 654#2nd of the Civil Code).
